»CHERRIES« chip carving knives are made of special carbon steel. They have a hardness of 59 – 61 HRc and are delivered pre-sharpened. Before using them for the first time, they should be honed with a sharpening stone in order to retain their final sharpness. Chip carving knives are suitable for chip carving decorations or inlays.

To prevent corrosion or rusting, we recommend protecting the tools with an oil film after use or before long periods of non-use .
Before storing the tools, moisten the blade with a cloth soaked in oil (white oil or our item no. 3708000).
